Sinta Prima Feedmill (Sinta), one of the largest fish feed producers in Indonesia, plans to increase its aquafeed production capacity next year.
The plan is that next year Sinta will operate its new feed mill located in Cileungsi, Bogor regency, West Java Province.
Anang Hermanta, the company’s Marketing Director, said, “The new feed mill has been built since 2011. Machines have been installed and it should be operational by early next year.” In the early stages, aquafeed produced by the new feed mill will be a quarter of the total production capacity of 15,000 tonnes per month.
In addition to aquafeed, Sinta also produces poultry feed. In total, Sinta produces 30,000 tonnes per month of aqua and poultry feed. Approximately 80% of the total production is marketed in West Java and Sumatra.
Hermanta added that the company plans to build another new feed mill outside Java.
