Triticale gets the best of both worlds

Triticale is a hardy winter cereal crop that was created in a laboratory by crossing wheat and rye. After 30 years of effort, plant breeders, particularly those at the French National Institute for Agronomic Research (INRA), have succeeded in making this species very attractive to farmers.
