Folic acid and L-valine prices vary around the world

Over the last 3 weeks, Glowlit has seen steady increased interest in folic acid though not yet rising to the level of a unique activity notification. Globally, Glowlit is seeing a wide gap of US$ 8 between the highest and the lowest trades recorded on the site. This is often the case when interest in a product increases and information is unevenly distributed among market players.

On April 30, 2021, L-valine produced by Corynebacterium glutamicum CGMCC 7.358 was authorised by the European Union. Back in 2020, the EU had approved the sale of Daesang Europe’s production of L-valine using Escherichia coli KCCM 80159.

Today Glowlit shows a wide spread in prices of Valine in different regions of the world and from different sources. However, as more grades are being approved for use, we expect that prices will even out.
