De Heus Animal Nutrition has acquired Belgian feed producer Voeders Huys. The deal includes facilities in Bruges and Northern France. This move strengthens De Heus’ local production in Western Europe and it aligns with the company’s broader European expansion strategy.
dsm-firmenich Animal Nutrition & Health is working with Bureau Veritas Solutions Denmark to promote sustainability in animal protein production by verifying its Sustell LCA platform for measuring emissions and supporting sustainable practices. dsm-firmenich is also partnering with Allix (by A-Systems) to measure and manage the environmental footprint of animal feed using Sustell.
Utrix has opened a new office and warehouse in Abu Dhabi to better serve customers in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries including the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain, and another office in Jordan to streamline product registration and manage direct sales. Its distributor network has also been expanded, and at the company’s facility in Zahle, Lebanon, manufacturing operations will be expanded. Utrix will also strengthen its product portfolio to address key challenges faced by poultry farmers in the MEA region with a series of specialised nutritional, health, and performance solutions to be rolled out. Its portfolio of liquid feed additives will also be expanded.
Agricultural research and development company Ideagro, headquartered in Murcia, Spain, is expanding its international presence with the opening of its first agricultural research center on another continent. On 29 April, Ideagro Brazil was officially inaugurated at the Ingá University Center (Uningá) in the city of Maringá, Paraná. The investment by Alltech Crop Science, in partnership with the university, enables physical, chemical, and biological analyses. In its first year of operation, Ideagro will invest over US$1 million in research, development, and product registration in Brazil.
Evonik has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Manuchar for the supply of its essential amino acid MetAmino in Pakistan. Manuchar is a global distributor of chemicals, specialising in supply chain solutions and value-added services for emerging markets, like South America, Africa, Middle East and Asia, as well as Europe.

From 1 July 2025, international co-products company Duynie will become the exclusive UK distributor of C★Traffordgold, a co-product of the processing of wheat for the production of starch and sweeteners, made by Cargill Plc at its Manchester production site. It is a highly palatable moist feed, known for its high levels of digestible fibre, protein, and energy, and contains Trafford Syrup – already exclusively supplied by Duynie –which is rich in yeast fragments that help support healthy rumen function.
