Effects on animals:

Renal lesions, uremia.

Partial detoxification of ochratoxin A by protozoa in the absence of acidosis in phenylalanine and ochratoxin α (less toxic) or ochratoxin C (more toxic). Significant immune system and carcinogenic disorders.

Deterioration in feed efficiency and egg production and urate deposits in abdominal cavity and joints.
