New publications available from AFIA
The Bovine Alliance for Management and Nutrition
(BAMN) has released two new publications and updated another, which are now
available free of charge from the AFIA website.
BAMN is a coalition of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the American Feed
Industry Association, the American Dairy Science Association and the American
Association of Bovine Practitioners.
AFIA serves as the distribution
agent for these free publications, which are posted on AFIA's website with educational materials.
The new publications are "Managing a pasteurizing system for feeding milk to calves" and
"Feeding pasteurized milk to dairy calves."
One
publication was updated and is called "Guide to modern milk replacer."
BAMN was created in the
early 1990s to address practical concerns in dairy heifer management and
nutrition.
Since then, there have been nine four- to six-page
publications developed. With the latest releases, there are a total of 11
publications.
For paper copies, contact AFIA's Veronica Pedrotty at vpedrotty@afia.org.
