In June, four Dutch veal farms were blocked after traces of the banned antibiotic furazolidone were found. Since then, not only more farms in the Netherlands became part of this feed scandal, also German pig and cattle farms were involved. This was all caused by a contaminated protein source, supplied by Van Kats Food & Feed in the Netherlands and further mixed into compound feed.
