Alltech’s Agri-Food Outlook shares global feed production survey data

Alltech has released its 2025 Agri-Food Outlook, a report that includes the results of the company’s 14th annual global feed production survey. The survey collected data from 142 countries and 28,235 feed mills in 2024. By analysing compound feed production and prices, the survey provides a comprehensive snapshot of global feed production. The publication shows that global feed production rebounded in 2024 after a stagnant 2023, increasing from 1.380 billion metric tonnes (mt) (+1.2%) to 1.396 billion mt. The top feed-producing countries in 2024 were China, the US, Brazil, India and Mexico. The report looks at notable results and future outlook by species (poultry, pigs, dairy, beef, aquaculture, pet and equine), as well as notable regional results.

MS Schippers launches feed that prepares piglets for weaning

MS Schippers introduces MS TerraFeed Fe, a new feed supplement for suckling piglets. The product, which helps young animals naturally get used to solid feed even before weaning, is composed of natural ingredients, including fermentable fibres, humic acids and iron chelates. The feed is tasty, easily digestible and matches the behaviour of young piglets in the farming pen. Piglets are born with a strong rooting instinct. MS TerraFeed Fe plays on this instinct. The structure of the feed imitates the soil, causing piglets to root naturally and playfully ingest the supplement.
